Reports of environmental degradation can be overwhelming. While we want to face up to the bad news, we see no point in listening to messages that declare we are all doomed. Instead, we look for sources that suggest how we can make things better, and we actively support the organizations doing this work.

The mission of The Nature Conservancy is "to conserve the lands and waters on which all life depends." Founded in 1951, this organization is a leader in environmental protection. Learn more about them at their website, Nature.org.
